Nuby Tear Free Rinse Pail {Review + Giveaway}

Disclosure: Nuby sent me the Tear Free Rinse Pail to review and will be sponsoring the giveaway prize.  All opinions expressed below are my own.

If you're one of those mamas who dreads bathtime because you can't stand the fussing and tears that result from having to rinse shampoo out of your child's hair, this is the post for you!  I've partnered with Nuby to bring you information on some great products for kids, and this one is no exception.

The Tear Free Rinse Pail is an ingenious product designed to - you guessed it - keep water out of your child's eyes as you are rinsing their hair.  Lincoln has been really freaking out about having water on his face lately, so this arrived at a perfect time for us!

It did take us several tries (and a couple of bouts of toddler hysteria) to find the learning curve and figure out how to properly use this pail.  At age two, Lincoln has very little interest in sitting still or tipping his head back or generally doing anything that I tell him, so the first few days we tried the pail, I was chasing him around the tub and he ended up with water in his face as usual.  But after some trial and error, we seem to have reached a great place where he understands that this is a helpful tool!

The Tear Free Rinse Pail features a comfort grip handle for me to use, which makes it easy to ensure that the water ends up where I want it.  The pail itself is made of plastic, with a soft edge that contours to baby's head and forces all of the water to flow away from the face.

I love that it has a larger capacity than a typical bathtime rinse cup might - I am able to get the rinsing part of bath done much faster than before.  Anything that saves a few minutes is welcome in our house!

It doubles as a great bath toy - Lincoln loves to fill it up with water and dump it all over himself and his toys.

The Tear Free Rinse Pail has been a huge hit here at our house and with a $5.99 price tag, it's a small luxury that most families can afford!  It is available in multiple colors and can be found at Buy Baby Direct, Cookies Kids, Amazon, and Kmart.

  7. Oh I definitely need this for my one year old! He LOVES bathtime and is so well-behaved and has a great time, until I soap up his hair! He stands up, tries to climb out of the tub, into my arms, anything to avoid me rinsing shampoo. I have another cup but it does not do the job since he won't tilt his head back, it just dumps down his face and he freaks!
