Nuby Booster Seat Review + Giveaway

Disclosure: Nuby sent us the Booster Seat to review.  All opinions expressed below are my own.

When a toddler decides he is old enough to do things for himself, there is not much you can do to stop him. Lately, even though there are a lot of foods that I know Lincoln loves, he seems to reject almost everything. The last few weeks, he has been dining on delicacies such as applesauce and toast at most meals.

While I work on expanding his palate, I'm thankful that at least we don't have any serious problems with getting him to sit at the table. That may be partly because he is a big fan of his Nuby Booster Seat!

Ever since Addie started baby-led weaning and took over the high chair, Lincoln has been in a "big boy" chair and he really loves it. This booster puts him at just the right height for our table and features a safety strap that makes me feel better about him sitting in the chair for meals and activities.

The base is nice and wide, featuring safety straps that will easily attach to most chairs. The seat will support up to 65 pounds, so it can certainly be used from the time a child outgrows an infant seat until they are big enough for a "real chair." It is very lightweight and makes for easy transportation - this chair spends a lot of time at Grandma's house, too!

The Booster Seat has been a great help at our house. It is made to last, and I know it will hold up through Lincoln and Addie's toddler stages - and beyond! It is available in multiple colors and can be found at Buy Baby Direct.

Nuby Fun Drinking Cups for Toddlers {Review}

Disclosure: Nuby sent us the Fun Drinking Cups to review.  All opinions expressed below are my own.

We've tried a lot of sippy cups in our house. Good sippy cups, bad sippy cups, and lots of great sippy cups from Nuby - the Pop-Up Sipper, the Flip-It Easy Grip, the No-Spill Cool Sipper - you name it, we've probably used it. So a little part of me can hardly believe that my big, big boy is old enough to start learning how to use real grown-up cups. Isn't it enough that we said goodbye to his pacifiers? I can't take all this growing up stuff!

Lincoln eats what I feel are pretty healthy foods for a somewhat picky toddler and he drinks a lot of water throughout the day. While we are definitely not ready to turn him loose with anything other than a sippy in our house yet, I do think it's important that he start learning how to use a real cup.

The Fun Drinking Cups from Nuby have been a perfect introduction for him. These little cups are just the right size for small hands. They're easy to grasp and don't hold as much liquid as a larger version might - so when the cup is inevitably turned upside down, the mess is more manageable!

Lincoln asks to use these cups all the time, and actually does really well with them. Have we had spills? Yes. But making messes is an important part of learning sometimes.

Both kids love to play with these cups when they aren't in use, too! They have all kinds of uses around here - sensory play, bath tub time, tower building, and more. We really, really like them!

The Nuby Fun Drinking Cups can be found at several online and local retailers, including Amazon, Diapers.com and BuyBabyDirect.

Nuby Sure Grip Bowl {Review}

Disclosure: Nuby sent us the Sure Grip Bowl to review.  All opinions expressed below are my own.

There are occasionally days where I feel like I might be getting the hang of this mom thing - but more often than not, I wake up and wonder what to feed my toddler for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Parenting is hard work, and mealtime adds elements of fun and frustration.

Nuby's Sure Grip Bowl is a favorite around our house lately. Lincoln's latest mealtime trick is shoving his dishes across the kitchen table when he decides he is finished. Sometimes this happens when he has eaten all of his meal - but sometimes he won't even eat macaroni (his favorite food), and you can imagine the disaster when he throws it. The base of this bowl makes it much more difficult for him to push it away across the table and I am definitely grateful for that!

The Sure Grip Bowl is ergonomically designed to work for either a left-handed or right-handed child (we think Lincoln may be a leftie), and is made of break-resistent polypropylene - so even if Lincoln does shove it off the table, chances are it will stay in one piece. It's a great size for little serving sizes - we routinely serve up mac and cheese or snacks like fresh fruit or crackers in this bowl.

Like the iMonster Toddler Bowl from Nuby, this has become a staple in our kids mealtime cabinet. We use it all the time!

The Nuby Sure Grip Bowl can be found at several online and local retailers, including Amazon and BuyBabyDirect.

Nuby Tub Time Turtle {Review}

Disclosure: Nuby sent us the Tub Time Turtle to review.  All opinions expressed below are my own.

Bath time is sometimes hit or miss around here. Sometimes we can be having a great day - reading, swimming, playing with trucks, or eating some toddler-approved meals - and that causes me to think that the suggestion of a bath will be met by Lincoln in a favorable manner. Usually my assumption is wrong, but sometimes he can be bribed into the tub - and once he is in, he does not want to get out!

I'm guessing part of the reason we face a meltdown at the end of bath time is because our bath toys are just too much fun! Our latest favorite is the Nuby Tub Time Turtle!

This friendly little guy is a fun addition to any bath toy collection! Not only does he float on top of the water (on the rare occasion that neither of my kids is holding him), but when he is lifted up, water cascades from his bowl-like shell in a delightful waterfall!

Addie is, of course, content to chew on him - especially his face! It's pretty typical for the kids to fight over who gets to play with him during their bath!

The Tub Time Turtle is such a fun little toy - we love him just as we love our Nuby Splish Splash Stacking Cups and Rinse Pail! He is BPA-free, so I'm not worried that he always seems to end up in Addie's mouth.

The Nuby Tub Time Turtle can be found at several online and local retailers, including Amazon, Diapers.com, buybuyBaby, Cookie's Kids, Bealls, and Tuesday Morning.

Nuby Wacky Teething Ring {Review}

Disclosure: Nuby sent us the Wacky Teething Ring to review.  All opinions expressed below are my own.

Nuby Wacky Teething Ring Review Mommy Blogger

Little Miss Addie has six teeth and I am pretty sure she is working on at least one more at the moment. If you have ever cared for a teething baby, you know what life is like around here right now: literally everything goes in this child's mouth! Especially now that she is crawling, I'm having a tough time keeping little pieces of food and lint out of her mouth. I do my best to keep lots of fun toys in her path so that she will be less likely to pick up the random crumbs she finds on the floor! She's still a big fan of her Bug-a-Loop Teether, but we have a new favorite in the house: the Nuby Wacky Teething Ring!

Nuby Wacky Teething Ring Review Mommy Blogger

This particular teething ring is aimed at ages 3 months and up, but at 9 months old, Addie still loves it! It has a unique combination of raised, offset surfaces and textures to feel - and is the perfect size for chubby little hands to hold. She especially enjoys the crinkly fabric pieces - she's intrigued by the sound it makes when she touches it or chew on it.

We've kept our Nuby Tickle Toes Dog in the car to entertain Addie on car trips for several months, and I think this Wacky Teething Ring might be another good option for traveling. It fits easily in a diaper bag pocket, so it's a great choice for on-the-go babies. Plus, since it's from Nuby, I know that it is BPA-free and totally safe for her to gnaw on. That's a relief!

The Nuby Wacky Teething Ring is a great deal at just $3.99 and can be found at several online and local retailers, including Amazon, Diapers.com, Baby Depot at Burlington, Bealls, buybuyBaby, and Walmart.

Nuby Toddler Step-Up Stool {Review}

Disclosure: Nuby sent us the Step Up Stool to review.  All opinions expressed below are my own.

Toddlers and independence. It's a subject that is discussed often - just do a search on Google or Pinterest and you'll find all sorts of information. Around here, we're trying to strike a healthy balance. Lincoln (almost 2 1/2) has been obsessed with brushing his teeth for months, and he is becoming more insistent that "Inky brush! Mommy 'way!" Translation: Lincoln brush! Mommy go away!

While we're still working on what is an appropriate length of time to run the water while brushing, we've been putting our Nuby Step-up Stool to use whenever Lincoln wants to brush - and it has been a huge help!

Lincoln is a tall 2-year-old, but he's still not able to reach the sink without a boost. This colorful stool from Nuby is perfect for brushing teeth, washing hands, and helping mama make cookies. It has also aided Lincoln in reaching every light switch in our home.

The Step-Up Stool features a No Skid Base and No-Slip Top, which ensures that my little wild man does not routinely injure himself while brushing his teeth. It can support up to 800 pounds, so I actually find myself using it to reach high cabinets on a regular basis! It's so much more convenient than hauling my giant stepladder upstairs!

This stool is definitely one of our favorite Nuby products, right up there with the Splish-Splash bath cups and the Tickle Toes dog. We will be using this stool for many years to come, and I am confident that it will retain its high quality through however many kids we add to our family!

The Nuby Step-Up Stool retails for $19.99 and can be found at several online retailers, including Amazon, Buy Baby Direct, Kid's Stuff Superstore, and Kid's Land USA. Make sure you follow along with Nuby on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram to keep up with all the latest products and promotions!

Nuby Gator Grip Pop-Up Sipper Toddler Cup {Review}

Disclosure: Nuby sent us the Gator Grip Pop-Up Sipper to review.  All opinions expressed below are my own.

Heads up, new parents. The sippy cup will become the bane of your existence before your child is grown. It doesn't seem to matter how many you have. They all seem to end up in the vast void where missing socks and toys apparently all congregate to aggravate unsuspecting parents. Just yesterday, Lincoln was crawling around the house and shouted "CUP" when peering under our bed. Turns out that two of the sippy cups in our collection had found their way there.

Regardless of how the sippy cups find their way into the void, it can also be a challenge to find one that works just right. We've had good success with our Nuby cups - like the Flip-It Easy Grip, Super Straw, and the Cool Sipper - so I was happy to give the Gator Grip Pop-Up Sipper a try.

This cup is pretty great. It is big - it holds 15 ounces of liquid, which makes it a great choice for a zoo or park trip where you may not have access to refill your toddler''s drink at his every whim. The lid features a snap-top cap, which keeps the contents clean and makes it simple to avoid water spilling everywhere.

Lincoln, at almost two and a half, loves this cup, but has not entirely figured out how it works yet. Or maybe he has - and he's just thwarting me. He doesn't quite have the dexterity to pull the snap-top up, so he gets a little frustrated if I have closed it. And I usually do close it after I notice he takes a drink - as he likes to turn it upside down and watch the water pour. I'm thinking this will be great for him in a few more months, probably closer to age 3.

It's a fun and functional cup, and since it's from Nuby I know it is BPA-free! That makes it a winner in my book.

You can find the Nuby Gator Grip Pop-Up Sipper at many online and local retailers, including Buy Baby Direct, Diapers.com, Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Sears.  Make sure you follow along with Nuby on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram to keep up with all the latest products and promotions!

Nuby Splish Splash Stacking Cups Bath Toy {Review}

Disclosure: Nuby sent us the Splish Splash Stacking Cup set to review.  All opinions expressed below are my own.

Bath time has become a lot of fun in our house lately. Why? Adelaide learned how to sit up this month, and she is no longer confined to an infant bather in the bathtub! That means the kids can have baths together, which they think is awesome - plus it uses half the water, and makes me smile because they're so adorable.

A lot of our squeeze bath toys recently met an untimely end when I discovered that they had grown mold inside (yuck). Until I have time to find a Pinterest-worthy solution to clean them, we don't have as many toys floating around in the water with the kids. This is convenient for me, too, since our master shower is broken and all four of us have bath supplies in this tub now.

So, what are the kids playing with in the bathtub? Right now, they unanimously agree that this set of Splish Splash Stackable Cups from Nuby is awesome.

There are tons of ways for a 2-year-old and a 7-month-old to put these cups to use. Here are a few ideas!

Lincoln's Suggestions:
-Pour water on your baby sister's head.
-Steal from baby sister's grasp.
-Use them to give your bath toy truck a drink of water.
-Line them up in different orders on the edge of the tub (Mom, keep a towel nearby).
-Pour water on your sister's tummy.
-Wear them like a hat.
-Stack them inside each other, or in a big tower.
-Pour water from one into another.

Addie's Suggestions:
-Chew on them.
-Scream when they are taken away from you.
-Beat them against the side of the bathtub.
-CHEW on them.
-Wave them around in the air.
-Splash them in the water by your toes.
-Make puppy eyes at brother so that he will share.
-CHEW ON THEM!

I love the versatility of these cups and as always, feel safe with my kids using them since they are BPA free. They're great to use in a pinch to rinse someone off at bathtime (though we still love our Nuby Rinse Pail). Each cup has holes in the base so you can experiment with water in the bath, or in a water table. They can even be used as blocks in everyday play!

You can find the Nuby Splish Splash Bath Cups at many online and local retailers, including Buy Baby Direct, CookiesKids.com, Diapers.com, BabyEarth.com, Amazon, BuyBuy Baby, Tuesday Morning and Bealls.  Make sure you follow along with Nuby on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram to keep up with all the latest products and promotions!

Nuby Bug-a-Loop Teether {Review}

Disclosure: Nuby sent us the Bug-a-Loop teether to review.  All opinions expressed below are my own.

Little Miss Addie has popped not one, but two tiny little teeth in the past three weeks.  Needless to say, there has been a bit more fussiness, a lot more snuggling, and a lot of chewing and drooling from our baby princess.

This fun Bug-a-Loop Teether from Nuby caught my eye and I thought it might be something to entertain her amidst the annoyance of growing new teeth.  After a couple weeks of playing with this toy - I am so glad it's in our collection!

This teether is designed to assist with the teething process by gently massaging baby's gums with its raised and offset surfaces.  It is adorable to look at and Addie will not let it go.  For a five-month-old, she is pretty attached to this toy!  It definitely ranks as one of her very favorites.

The circle shape makes it easy for her to hold with one or both hands, and it is lightweight enough that when she swings it around in the air, it doesn't whack her in the face too hard!  The little bugs are beyond cute and each bead has a different texture.  The beads are contained on two strands of very thick cord - I'm not worried at all about them breaking free, even when Lincoln manages to get it away from his sister.

The Bug-a-Loop teether has become a go-to toy for us, whether playing at home, outside, in the stroller, in the car, or anywhere!  I may have to get an extra one in case we lose it - she loves it that much.  I'm glad to not have to worry about what she is chewing on - since Nuby products are always BPA free!  I think we're going to get a lot of continued use from this teether!

You can find the Nuby Bug-a-Loop teether at many online and local retailers, including Buy Baby Direct, Kohl's, Diapers.com, Amazon, Target, CVS, BuyBuy Baby, and Sears.  Make sure you follow along with Nuby on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram to keep up with all the latest products and promotions!

Nuby Flip-It Easy Grip Toddler Cup {Review}

Disclosure: Nuby sent us the Flip-It Easy Grip Cup to review.  All opinions expressed below are my own.

Summer is on the way, and with a two-year-old in our family, that means we have a lot of adventures ahead of us.  Trips to the park and the zoo, backyard playtime, and probably other fun stuff will come our way.  Lincoln only has one speed (running), so my job this summer is going to be keeping him hydrated!

We had the chance to check out the Flip-It Easy Grip cup from Nuby, and it is a great addition to our sippy cup collection.  This cup features a super easy-to-use flip top cap, which makes it a perfect cup to take along on our adventures.  No worries about spills on the carseat or Lincoln's clothes - and if it happens to drop into a pile of dirt or something like that, the straw won't be contaminated.  I definitely am not going to have time to worry about rinsing off a sippy cup every time Lincoln lets it fall to the ground.

This no-spill cup design holds 10 ounces of liquid, which is just about right for my toddler.  If he has too much more than that, it's unlikely to stay cold by the time he can drink it all!  Lincoln loves the straw feature and is constantly wanting to play with the flip-top.  He's not as confident using a straw sippy (he tends to tip the cup upside down, thus sending all the liquid away from where the straw will find it), but I think he just needs more practice.  We'll definitely take care of that this summer!

Nuby products are always BPA free, so my mind is at ease when Lincoln uses this (or any) Nuby cup. The Flip-It Easy Grip is a success at our house for sure!

You can find the Nuby Flip-Top Easy Grip at Buy Baby Direct, Diapers.com, and Amazon - as well as Walmart, TJ Maxx, DD's Discounts, and Baby Depot at Burlington.  Make sure you follow along with Nuby on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram to keep up with all the latest products and promotions!
