Trilling It Up: Superhero Style

If by some miracle my hubby and I had a whole day to spend together without our kids, you would probably find us camped out in our basement movie room, having an epic movie marathon. Around Christmastime last year, we watched Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars over the course of a month or two. We decided that by summer, surely both of our kids would be sleeping reasonably enough that we could do a mega superhero movie marathon this summer. Not all of them are in trilogy form (in fact - there are very few that fit that bill) - but we'll call it trilling it up anyway!

Lincoln is generally sleeping better, but Addie has refused to sleep by herself at all for the past three weeks. After a few days of ridiculous frustration, I decided it just wasn't worth it to spend five hours a night trying to get her to sleep - so she's just been hanging out with us until we go to bed. Sometimes she plays, but mostly she just wants to snooze and nurse on my lap. I'm getting used to not being able to do laundry or pick up the house or brush my teeth after about 8pm.

Anyway - while she is nursing, we've been watching every superhero movie we can find!

So far, we've seen:
Batman (Adam West)
Batman (Michael Keeton)
Batman Returns
Batman Forever
Batman & Robin

The Incredibles
Spider-Man
Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man 3

Superman
The Fantastic Four

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (and most of) The Amazing Spider-Man

Still on our to-watch list:
X-Men Trilogy
The Wolverine
X-Men First Class
Iron-Man

Iron-Man 2
The Hulk
The Incredible Hulk
Captain America
Catwoman
Thor

The Avengers
Superman 2
Superman 3
Superman 4

Batman Begins
The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight Rises

It turns out that there are a lot of superhero movies. It's definitely going to take us the rest of the summer to get through this list! Can you think of any that we have missed?

Check back soon for our completely unbiased opinions on some of these epic films, in the form of facial expressions in selfie form. Yep - this photo series will possibly be more epic than any of the films.
