Surviving Fall and Winter with AVEENO® Baby Eczema Therapy

If you had asked me what eczema was three years ago, I would have given you a blank stare. Then one day I noticed some patchiness on Lincoln's skin, and they started getting worse. I had never experienced these red, scaly patches of skin before and had no idea what to do about them. We headed to our pediatrician, and were given a slew of products to try (including a prescription steroid cream). But none of the products worked! Days went by and he still had scaly patches all over his legs, back, and tummy. 

I had nearly given up on the idea of clearing up his eczema when someone recommended that I try AVEENO®. I was pretty skeptical that we would have any success, but I was up for one last shot at clearing up this skin condition. After just a few days of using the AVEENO® Baby Cleansing Therapy Moisturizing Wash for Lincoln's bath, we noticed a change. The patchy skin started to clear up and when we reduced his baths to every other day (instead of nightly), that helped as well. We've learned that it's very important to keep his skin moisturized during the dry times of the year, to keep his eczema away.

We've been using AVEENO® Eczema Therapy products on Lincoln's skin almost exclusively since we discovered that it helped alleviate and prevent his eczema. Both the Moisturizing Cream and Moisturizing Wash have been necessities around here for the last two winters, and I'm pleased that we have the Soothing Bath Treatment to add to our lineup this year. The Bath Treatment, similar to the cream and wash, features Active Naturals® Colloidal Oatmeal as a skin protectant. I think the oatmeal is what makes these products stand out. Something about this formula works!
