Candle Bible for Kids - Toddler Edition {Book Review}

My hubby and I both have fond memories of a specific Bible storybook from our childhoods.  We both had the same one and remember it fondly.  I don't know if there weren't a lot of kid's Bibles to choose from back then, or if it was just a coincidence that we had the same book.  Either way - if you visit a bookstore in search of a children's Bible in 2013, you are likely to find a huge assortment, and you may not even know where to begin!

It's important to us that our kids grow up learning the stories of David and Goliath, Moses and the Burning Bush, and how Jesus Fed the Five Thousand.  The thing is, not all children's Bibles are created equally, so you have to put some time and energy into finding one that is exactly what you want for your family.

I was excited to review the Candle Bible for Kids Toddler Edition by Juliet David.  This book is a follow-up to the successful Candle Bible for Kids. The Toddler Edition was created for the younger listener, and has been great even for our not-yet-two-year-old.

This edition features stories from both the Old and New Testaments, including Creation, Moses, Joseph, David & Goliath, Jesus' Birth and many, many more.  The book is 160 pages long and each story is about 4-7 pages.  This is the perfect story length for a busy toddler's attention span!  Lincoln let me read to him about Noah's Ark for five minutes and then he was off onto another adventure!

The illustrations are beautifully detailed and the colors are a delight.  It's definitely a book that will grab a little one's attention.  The hardback cover makes it easy for little hands to hold, which is another great feature.

This book is a new favorite in our house and I know we will get many years of use from it!  You can purchase the Candle Bible for Kids Toddler Edition from Amazon (current price is $10.19).
