Gift Ideas from MIXT Studio - #HolidayGiftGuide2014

A lot of my holiday gift guide posts lately have been items that would be most enjoyed by the children in your family. But this one is different - it's all about gifts for mom! Yay!

 

What's on your Christmas wish list this year? For me, it's always a good Christmas if I receive some sort of stationary. I know it may be considered old-fashioned these days...and yes, I spend a lot of time writing via the internet here in my little corner of the internet...but I really enjoy sending and receiving real, tangible, hold-it-in-your-hands mail! I was really excited to check out this set of note cards from MIXT Studio.

MIXT Studio offers a lovely variety of notecards and other paper goods that feature bold graphics right alongside whimsical designs. This particular set caught my eye not only because I loved the quote, but because of their simplicity - they are one-sheet cards that don't fold or bend. You just write on the back, pop it in an envelope, and send it on its way. Such a super quick way to pass on a little message of encouragement!

From browsing the collection of reversible tote bags on the website, I knew I would love the Mandala tote - just look at those purple flowers! 

This bag is different from other totes in my collection because it's made from a fabric-like paper that is practically indestructible. When I first pulled this bag out to use it, I was a little worried...it is very lightweight and seemed like it may end up being too flimsy. I was proven quite wrong and it has become one of my go-to errand totes! I love carrying my reusable water gallon containers in it! It has a great texture and is water resistant and machine washable. I can tell that it will stand the test of time. But if something does happen to it, it can be recycled - how cool is that?!

My kids are fascinated by the reversible option of this bag and spend time turning it inside out over and over again. I love both patterns, so I don't mind! The bag measures 25 x 18 x 6″ and is large enough to hold all the necessities for running errands, road-tripping, or heading to the beach. Plus, it's made in the USA! Can't beat that.
