Disney Challenge Day 14: Favorite Theme Park

(Source)

I have only been to Disney World once.  No Disneyland.  No foreign parks.  So, maybe my opinion is not entirely well-rounded, but I'm pretty sure my answer would stay the same, regardless of how many parks I visit in my lifetime.

The moment I stepped into the Magic Kingdom for the first time, it was like a fairytale coming true!  This park is seriously magical, and I can't wait to take my kids in a few years!  I shared about a zillion Magic Kingdom photos back when we visited the park in 2010.

Soft Scrub Total All Purpose Cleanser {Review + Giveaway}

Disclosure: As a member of Purex Insiders, I was provided with sample Soft Scrub products for review.  All opinions expressed below are my own.

Keeping a house clean becomes a whole different ball game when you have kids.  Honestly, I don't even remember the days before Lincoln arrived well enough to tell you how often I used to clean.  I confessed not long ago that I dust about once a year.  And the rest of the house?  To be honest, it doesn't fare a whole lot better.

So, when I actually do break out the cleaning gear - it has to be something that will get the job done.  Soft Scrub offered to send me their Total All Purpose Bath & Kitchen Cleanser, so I decided to give it a shot.

After my kitchen sink disposal disaster last week, this seemed an appropriate place to begin cleaning!  Soft Scrub's all purpose cleanser is formulated to clean surfaces throughout the home, but most specifically in the kitchen and bathroom (think counters, sinks, showers, tubs, etc).  I had to apply just a small amount in my sink, and with a bit of brushing, it worked up the nice lather in the photo above!  It only took me about five minutes to get my sink washed and rinsed (and it was gross - if I actually cleaned more often, it would probably take two minutes or less)!  And a bonus - the lemon scent made me forget the potato peeling mess ever happened!

Overall, I'm definitely pleased with how easily this lemon cleanser took care of my kitchen sink!  I'm taking it to my shower next - it needs a serious deep clean!  Make sure you connect with Soft Scrub on Facebook for the latest updates!

Disney Challenge Day 13: Favorite Movie Quote

(Source)

I think it's impossible to pick an absolute favorite quote - out of so many different movies, there are so many possibilities!  But this is the one that sticks out in my mind, from Cinderella.

A dream is a wish your heart makes when you're fast asleep,
In dreams you will lose your heartache - whatever you wish for, you'll keep
Have faith in your dreams, and someday, your rainbow will come smiling through
No matter how your heart is grieving,
If you keep on believing,
The dream that you wish will come true.

Disney Vacation, 2010.

It may not be absolutely true, but as a dreamer myself, I don't really mind.

Disney Challenge Days 11 & 12: Which Movies Make Me Laugh & Cry

Whoops.  If you're following along, you may have noticed I missed a day.  At least it was only one day, right?

Day 11: Which Movie Makes You Laugh?

(Source)

For this spot, I'm choosing the classic movie The Parent Trap.  Hayley Mills and Hayley Mills plus all sorts of hysterics - it's been a favorite since I was a little girl.  I'm especially fond of the dance scene while the girls are at summer camp - and the camping scene near the end.  Anyone ever tried to scare bears away with a couple of sticks?  Also - it's a wonder that Vicky didn't get eaten.  What bear is content to lick honey off someone's foot when they could just go ahead and munch on the person? Right?

Day 12: Which Movie Makes You Cry?

(Source)

There was no contest on this one.  I've only seen Up once.  And I don't know if I will ever bring myself to watch it again.  Yeah, I get that the epic sad part is only the first ten minutes or so of the film.  But from what I remember, my movie-watching experience went like this:

Put in DVD. Ooh! New Disney/Pixar movie! It's gonna be great!
5 Minutes In. Oh boy. This seems like it's going to get really sad.
10 Minutes In. Silent, hysterical weeping.
15 Minutes In. Too sad to care about the rest of film.
35 Minutes In. Maybe I'll get over it. Maybe I'll enjoy the rest.
36 Minutes In. Insert reminder of beginning of movie. Cue more hysterical crying.

And so on...and so on.  It seemed like every time I thought I might not be sad anymore, they dredged the story back up and all I could do was cry.  I know it's a sweet redemptive story, but there's something about it that I just can't handle.

My second choice would be Toy Story 3, which I do not recommend watching while pregnant, or if you have/had special toys in your/your child's life.  I seriously cannot get rid of toys at all, and I blame the Toy Story series.

I also cry during just about all of the princess movies.  Maybe I'm emotional or something?

Simple Moments v.15

This post usually happens on Thursday evening, but Adelaide decided to refuse sleep until after 11:30 last night.  Blogging became less of a priority the more times I had to nurse her back to sleep.

Anyway - here are a few simple moments we enjoyed this last week.

Easter Redux.  We couldn't make it to any of the family events last week since Andrew had strep, but at least this past Sunday we all wore our new clothes and seemed coordinated.  Notice I'm holding the really cute hat that Lincoln refused to wear.  After two Easters of him in newsboy caps, I was pretty sad at his refusal.

Adventures with Grandparents.  My parents went with us to the zoo one morning last weeks.  The kids had a blast and it was way easier for me to have extra adults to keep track of my energetic little man.  A post on this, with more photos, coming soon!

Nice Weather.  In spite of the grumpiness you see on their faces, they've actually been pretty happy that lately we've been able to go for a walk or two every day!  At least, until the weather took (yet another) cold dip and forced us all back inside.  If spring could just stay, I would be happy.  This particular photo was taken after a walk with Daddy - we typically climb the stairs and collapse after we're done.  Mommy needs some time to get back to pre-pregnancy exercise capacity!

That's it for today.  I hope your week has been beautiful!
